Conference Interpretation

ICTY (United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia), the Hague, permanent staff member.
Conference interpretation from and into French, English, and BCS, in all major cases up to now (Tadic, Blaskic, Krstic, Milosevic's initial appearances etc.)
Worked mostly in the French booth.

1995 - 1998
Free-lance interpreter based in Paris working on a regular basis mostly for international organisations and institutions such as:

  • French Ministry of Foreign Affairs
    Signature of the Dayton Peace Accords in Paris in 1995; official meetings between the French and Yugoslav heads of state held between 1995 and 1998;
  • ICTY
    Interpretation during court sessions;
    Council of Europe
    Various expert meetings, e.g. expert group drafting the new Constitution of Bosnia-Herzegovina;
  • European Parliament
    Meetings between delegations of politicians from the former Yugoslavia and European Parliament members;
  • NATO
    Post-Dayton activities and meetings;
  • SHAPE
    Various training courses in Oberamergau, Germany;
and others

Consecutive Interpretation

1984-1989
Regular assignments as consecutive interpreter for the Administration for Cultural, Technical, Scientific and Educational Cooperation of Serbia.

Interpretation during study tours of students or scholars from various countries, mainly China, North Korea and Great Britain.
